I entered my vehicle 2018ram1500 this morning after it had being stored inside my garage overnight. I sat down, pressed the brake and was about to start it when i noticed the shifter dial was on 'r' and began beeping continuously. While driving home, i noticed some noise that ounde like a turbo noise and loos of power. I pulled over immediately shut off engine and poped hood. Looke up and smoke from engine. Opened hood and saw small fire on rear passenger side of engine by turbo housing. Soon the truck was totally engulfed by flames.

Engine caught fire due to egr system overheating (maybe burning internally) melting then spontaneously catching foam rubber pad above the egr diffuser tube on fire. My 2013 ram will lock the doors randomly, with no one in it or near it. Its happened many times, now i have to leave a window down if im just unloading the back, or carry a spare key. Error code p0463: fuel level sensor circuit high input, this means my fuel gauge is experiencing failures and i can not accurately determine how much fuel is in the vehicle. Doing a quick google search, this appears to be a very common issue with the 2014 ram 1500 5.7l. I'm at roughly 68500 mile on my truck so the issue is also out of warranty.
